THE HEART OF HOT YOGA SYRACUSE

A decade of heat.
A community with heart.

Since 2016, Hot Yoga Syracuse has helped shape the Hot Yoga and Hot Pilates community in Central New York. Today, our wellness studio brings that same care to a wider world of movement, meditation and connection.

We believe in showing up for one another. In learning from traditional yoga practices. In finding strength on the mat and carrying that sense of belonging into everyday life.

Whether you’re here to sweat, slow down or simply begin again, there’s space for you.

MEET THE HEART BEHIND THE PRACTICE

Meet Amy
Andrello.

Nearly 30 years of practice.
A community built with heart.

Amy’s relationship with yoga began nearly 30 years ago and has remained a constant in her life ever since—a way to stay grounded, find focus and create balance through life’s many chapters.

A mother of two and stepmother of four, Amy understands the importance of making time for yourself while caring for others. With the support of her husband, whose work in martial arts and boxing also serves the community, she brings that same spirit of connection and encouragement to Hot Yoga Syracuse.

Since founding the studio in 2016, Amy has worked to create a welcoming space where people can move, breathe and feel supported. Her hope is that everyone who walks through the door finds more than a class—a place to reconnect with themselves and feel part of a community.

Kayla Young

Kayla Young

Hi, my name is Kayla and I have been practicing yoga and pilates for 10 years. Over the past two years, my practice has deepened and has been a pivotal and transformative awakening for me. I am currently in my 200HR Yoga Teacher Training and have experience in Collegiate Athletics as a player and as a Coach. My goal as your Instructor, is to create and hold space for all bodies. Allowing for your own intuitive healing to work its magic. Through movement, sweat, high frequencies and love, you can tap back into your power. I look forward to practicing with all of you and making new connections in our community.

Alexia Lopes

Alexia Lopes

Alexia found Yoga in 2019, at the start of her PH.D., when she needed a practice to help her move and breathe through a demanding season. She carried her yoga practice with her moves across the U.S.

She eventually traveled to Bali to complete her 200HR Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Union. Not long after, she joined Syracuse University, where she continues to deepen her yoga practice, drawn to the vinyasa and ashtanga lineages.

By day, Alexia is a Professor of Sport Management at Syracuse University. She has always been an active person, riding, running, hiking, working out and chasing new places to travel. Yoga has been her most challenging practice yet and has taught her to truly listen to herself and stay grounded no matter what else is moving around her.

Kelly Mac

Kelly Mac

Kelly was drawn to yoga years ago. As she grew into a more serious practitioner, she decided to attend teacher training in NYC, with Dharma Mittra in 2007. After completing the 200hr training, she led Dharma Yoga classes locally. In 2017, she found her way to Baptiste Power Yoga. This powerful, hot practice lead her into a whole different experience of yoga. In 2023, she completed an additional 200hr training with Baptiste Power Yoga. Kelly’s classes are fluid, energizing and uplifting, as well as rejuvenating and balanced. When she's not in the mat, you will most likely find her hanging with family or friends, locally or on Keuka Lake. Guaranteed her dog, Bodhi is nearby also, 🐾❤️.

Tony Loiacono

Tony Loiacono

Hi, I'm Tony, with nearly 9 years on the mat, my journey into yoga began as a crucial path to reclaiming function, movement and wellness from chronic pain and severe health issues. This personal transformation is the foundation of my teaching style.

I specialize in the deeply therapeutic practice of Yin Yoga. I believe yoga should be integrated into every activity you enjoy. When I'm not in the studio, you can find me painting, hiking, kayaking or constantly trying to find ways to apply the strength and freedom of yoga to the world around me.
